- Who are you, what you do and who you serve?
At King Cole Catering, we want you to love our food as much as we love creating it. We believe that a meal is much more than a few items on a plate - it's an experience for your guests, an opportunity for meaningful conversation with family and friends, and a special moment to be savoured and enjoyed.

- How and when did you get started in the industry?
King Cole Catering was started by Vernon Cole in 1996 and continues to operate with the same family values in mind today.
After 20 years of success serving the community with delicious, homecooked food at a fair price, Vernon proudly passed the business reins to his daughter Taylor in 2016. Together, father and daughter have grown King Cole Catering into a multi-faceted company, with a core business of providing full-service wedding, corporate, private event and takeout catering to customers throughout southern Manitoba. As a top caterer in the province, Taylor has evolved the business even further to accommodate events of any size, hiring additional staff and recruiting even more family members to be a part of the King Cole Catering team.

King Cole offers catering services for all types of group events including weddings, in-home catering, corporate functions, funerals and more. King Cole Catering also offers a variety of weekly takeout meals with special packages for Mother's Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The King Cole kitchen also operates as a ghost kitchen with multiple restaurant-style menus offered for pickup and delivery.
- What is the biggest trend you have seen since being in the industry?
Over the years many new wedding venues have popped up in Manitoba. These high-quality locations offer a variety of wedding options to couples that didn't exist when King Cole first started.
- Which venue do you work in the most frequently?
- How far in advance do your clients typically book you?
Clients typically book King Cole Catering for their wedding 12-18 months before their wedding date.
- Can you give us one of your industry tips that brides or grooms don't often know?
Use your caterer for as many services as you can! If you hire your caterer to do dinner service, bar and late lunch, it's likely all three services will run very smoothly. If the bar gets busy, the catering staff can step in to help out and vice versa. Then at the end of the night, the bar staff can help with the late lunch when that gets busy.
