- Who are you, what you do and who you serve?
I am the founder of Kinloch Grove, I manage events big and small, and serve couples and clients of all kinds needing a space to celebrate and gather, all the while surrounded by the beautiful outdoors!
- How and when did you get started in the industry?
The idea to open a wedding venue in the Interlake came from wanting to host my own wedding on our family lot near Matlock MB. After our engagement in February 2018, it was full steam ahead to make this unique space, and the only one of its kind in the interlake, a reality.
- Where are you based and where do you meet with clients?
I live in Winnipeg but have met with couples and clients all over the Interlake.
- What services do you offer?
Our Weddings incorporate a full all-day facility rental and basic amenities(tables, chairs, benches, washrooms, tent, parking, ceremony site, PA system, lighting, kitchen, prep station, bar and fridges). We also have unique table settings and event decor for rent. Our space also has multiple ceremony sites available, including beach-side!
- What is the biggest trend you have seen since being in the industry?
Elaborate and unique photo booths, I don't believe those are going anywhere!
- How far in advance do your clients typically book you?
Typically 18 months in advance.
- Can you give us one of your industry tips that brides or grooms don't often know?
Transportation options for guests are so appreciated!
Take a moment for yourselves during that magic hour and get some stunning photos alone in the prairies! I personally regret not doing this one.-
- How you do stand out?
As Manitobans we forget about the Interlake - it's a gem, where else can we have a destination wedding in your own backyard? With 76 acres, and an a la carte venue, Kinloch Grove's clear tent in the middle of the forest is ideal for the creative, the daring, the diverse, and adventurous!
