How did you get started in the wedding industry, and what inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

After years of working as a family photographer, I began my journey as a wedding photographer in 2021 when friends asked me to capture their elopement. It was a beautifully emotional experience that I’ll never forget. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to document the love stories of many wonderful couples.

What do you enjoy most about working in the wedding industry and serving couples on their special day?

What I love most about working in the wedding industry is seeing everything come together—the families, the decor, and all the amazing vendors. By the time the big day arrives, I’ve built a connection with my couples, it brings me so much happiness to be there for those meaningful moments. Capturing the beauty and emotion of their special day is something I genuinely look forward to.

What do you believe is the most important consideration when couples are choosing a photographer?

Aside from choosing a photographer who makes you feel comfortable and confident, it's equally important to consider their style of work. Not all photographers shoot the same way—some provide guidance and focus on candid moments, while others take a more documentary or journalistic approach. Viewing full galleries and blogs can help couples identify the specific styles they’re looking for.

What is the ideal timeline for couples to book your services in advance of their wedding day?

Most of my couples book me anywhere from 1-2 years in advance

What is the best piece of advice you would offer to couples planning their wedding?

Enjoy the day! My best advice for all my couples is to build in buffer times so you can relax, take it all in, and make it to cocktail hour without feeling rushed. The last thing you want is to feel like you’re racing from one photo session to the next. Take it slow and savor each moment!

Can you share your favorite wedding trend or design idea that you're currently excited about?

I am loving the "Garden Wedding" trend with the "Pillar Candle" design!

How do you stand out?

Having fun! Being a wedding photographer has allowed me to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for couples. I love helping them feel at ease in front of the camera, turning what can be a stressful situation into a fun and memorable one. Hearing them say "that was a lot easier than I thought," reinforces my passion for capturing their genuine emotions and unique stories. It's rewarding to see couples relaxed and happy, resulting in beautiful images they’ll relive timelessly.

Anything else you would like to mention?

We will spend a lot of time laughing together!
